On creativity, language, and the art of paying attention 🌼
Dearest—
Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
For years, I have been gathering notes on anything that deepens my appreciation of poetry. Poet’s Field Notes is where I attempt to think aloud—writing about what I’m learning from poets and artists whose work and creative processes continue to shape my own.
Here, I explore what it means to live as a poet. I reflect on my experiences as a woman and a person of colour—how these identities inform and transform me as both reader and writer.
This newsletter is for anyone who is:
Curious about writing, creativity, and language
Seeking ideas and encouragement on how to keep going
Loves poetry and literature
Your presence here matters. Thank you for reading.
Yours,
T.
About me
Hello, I’m T. De Los Reyes—a Filipino poet and designer, living at the intersection of language and art. I run a creative studio, Possibilities, and also work as a designer for Nowruz Journal , as well as a long-time mentor for ModPo.
My chapbook, And Yet Held, is available through Bull City Press. My poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Bellingham Review, Waxwing, Frozen Sea, Shō Poetry Journal, Room, Salt Hill Journal, ANMLY, RHINO, and Pleiades, among others. My work explores womanhood, eros, and the body—tracing its geography against the question of identity.
You might also know me from Read A Little Poetry, my long-time passion project. Since 2005, it has been a home for holding poets to the light and a refuge for those who turn to poetry as solace, anchor, and mirror.
Your support means everything.
Poet’s Field Notes is free for everyone, with each edition arriving directly in your inbox. If my work resonates with you, you can support it through a one-time donation or a monthly subscription via Ko-Fi.
Because the Substack subscription model isn’t available in my country, your support through Ko-Fi means the world to me. It allows me to spend more time doing what I love: reading, writing, and deepening my engagement with poetry.
Your generosity sustains this space—not just for me, but for everyone who finds something meaningful here.
Thank you, with all my heart.
Yours,
T.
